Omega-3 Fatty acids may benefit people with (ILD) Interstitial Lung Disease.

Interstitial lung disease, is a condition that causes inflammation and scarring of the lung tissue. Sufferers of this condition could have an average life expectancy of between just three and five years.

A recent study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology 17 August 2020 reported, higher blood DHA levels (an essential fatty acid found in fish oils), were associated with a lower risk of hospitalization and death due to ILD and less lung abnormalities on CT in a meta-analysis of population-based cohorts
