We can beat the virus and people need to be told why we will eventually win.
As more people recover from the coronavirus, and that is expected to be over 90 percent, enter back into the community the number of immune people increases dramatically as they can’t get the virus twice and this is called Herd immunity.
Herd immunity means not everyone in a community needs to be immune to prevent spread of disease. As the number of immune people (those who have recovered) enter the overall population, they will eventually become the majority and as a result will protect the few susceptible people such as the elderly and sick because the pathogen is less likely to find a susceptible person.
A virus contacting with an immune person is killed by their immune system but we still need to manage good hygiene and washing hands and social distancing etc..
So, the end outcome is positive.
